Quality Assurance & Quality Control: Ruihalo’s 6-Stage Inspection System

We do not hold ISO 9001. We are not a certified factory. What we have is a six-checkpoint inspection routine that runs on every order, records what it finds, and produces a file you can hand to your own QA team or your importer’s compliance people. This page describes exactly what happens between raw material arriving and a carton being sealed.

If a supplier’s quality page is a wall of logos, the useful question is what happens on the floor at four in the afternoon when a batch of 800 clippers turns out to have a burr problem. That is what this page answers.

What we do not hold

ISO 9001:2015Not held. No quality management system certificate.
CE markingNot ours to issue. A CE declaration of conformity is the importer’s document.
FDA registrationNot held. No establishment registration, no device listing.
BSCI or other social auditNot held. No audit report on file.
SGS, TÜV or BV factory auditNone on file. We will host an inspector you appoint, at your cost.

We have been asked for those four letters often enough to know what they signal to a buyer. We would rather tell you we do not have them than send a PDF that falls apart the moment your compliance team reads the certificate number and calls the issuing body.

The six checkpoints

1Incoming materialSteel grade and heat number checked against the mill certificate, sheet thickness measured, surface defects looked for before anything is cut.Mill certificate filed per lot
2Blanking and machiningBlank dimensions, burr height, CNC tolerances on functional surfaces held to 0.05 mm, tool wear watched across the run.First-article measurement sheet
3Heat treatment verificationHeat treatment is outsourced to a specialist plant we have worked with for years. Returned parts are checked against the specified hardness range before they enter assembly. The sampling frequency depends on the part and we will tell you what applies to yours.Hardness readings on tested parts
4Assembly and functionPivot action, blade play, spring return and lock engagement on folders. Jaw alignment and spring tension on clippers. Every unit is opened and closed by hand.Function test result per batch
5Surface and appearanceCoating adhesion and colour match, laser engraving legibility and position, polish and edge finish — all compared against the golden sample you approved.Photo set against golden sample
6Final inspection and packingAQL 2.5 sampling, carton drop check, print and label verification, quantity count before the carton is sealed.Inspection report plus photos

What AQL 2.5 means in practice

We inspect to AQL 2.5, General Inspection Level II, single sampling. In plain terms, here is how many pieces come out of the carton and how many defects are allowed before the lot is rejected:

Lot sizePieces inspectedAcceptReject
281 – 5005034
501 – 1,2008056
1,201 – 3,20012578
3,201 – 10,0002001011
10,001 – 35,0003151415

Critical defects are not subject to the AQL allowance. A sharp edge on a pet clipper, a lock that does not engage, a jaw that does not close — one of those stops the lot. AQL governs cosmetic and minor functional variation, not safety.

What you receive with the shipment

  • The inspection report for your lot: sample size, defects found, accept or reject.
  • The measurement sheet for critical dimensions on the model you ordered.
  • A photo set of the actual goods, not a stock image of a similar product.
  • The material declaration for the steel and coating used in your order.
  • Hardness readings on request, for the parts we tested.
  • A packing list with carton dimensions, gross weight and container loading plan.

All of it is in English and sent before the balance payment falls due, so you are not paying against a promise.

Third-party inspection

Welcome, and we will not talk you out of it. Appoint your inspector — SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, QIMA or a local agent — and give us the date. The goods will be staged, the cartons open, and there will be a table and power available. The inspection fee is yours; we do not mark it up and we take no commission from the agency.

Two practical notes: inspections are usually booked five to seven days ahead, and a failed inspection costs you the fee plus the re-inspection. So send your checklist before the goods are packed rather than after. If your checklist flags something we cannot meet, we would rather know at packing than at the port.

We do not offer a blanket “100% quality guarantee”. No factory can honestly offer one. What we offer is a documented process, a file that shows what was found, and a straight answer on who fixes what.

Market compliance is the importer’s job

CE marking, FDA registration, REACH and RoHS declarations, CPSIA and Prop 65 testing — these attach to whoever places the goods on the market, and that is you, the importer. A Chinese factory cannot issue a CE declaration of conformity on your behalf, and any factory that offers to is telling you something about how it handles paperwork.

What we do is supply the inputs your compliance work needs: steel grades and mill certificates, coating and material declarations, dimensions and tolerances, samples for your own lab testing, and factory information for your technical file. Tell us the market and the product, and we will tell you which documents we can produce and which you will have to commission yourself.

How to check us without a certificate

  • Ask for the inspection report from a recent order in your product line. We will send a real one with the customer’s name removed.
  • Ask a question only the floor can answer. What hardness range do you hold on 5Cr15MoV, what is your burr limit after blanking, how do you measure pivot play. Vague answers mean the person replying has never stood on the line.
  • Book a video call and ask to see the inspection bench, not the showroom.
  • Come and visit. We will meet you in Yangjiang and you can walk the line, open cartons and pick parts at random.

Ask for a specific number

If you want the tolerance, the sampling plan or the failure mode history on a particular model, ask. You will get a number or a plain “we cannot answer that” — not an adjective.

The production figures behind this page are on Factory Facts. What we hold in patents, and what we do not hold in certifications, is on Patents & Compliance. The questions buyers ask most often are answered on the B2B Buyer FAQ. If you want to test all of this against a real order, send us the spec.
