Patents & Compliance: What We Hold and What We Don’t

Most supplier pages in this industry list four letters — ISO, CE, FDA, BSCI — and hope you do not ask for the certificates. This page does the opposite. Below is what Ruihalo actually holds, and what we do not, stated plainly so you can check it before you commit to anything.

If a factory tells you it holds all four, ask for the certificate numbers and the issuing body’s verification link. That takes ten minutes and eliminates most of the suppliers you were about to shortlist.

What we do hold: three granted patents

These are registered with China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the numbers can be verified independently.

What this means for a private-label buyer: the mechanism and the external form are ours, so a tool you commission from us is not a copy of a mould three other factories are also running. Every OEM and ODM project is covered by a mutual NDA, and custom tooling stays exclusive to the buyer who paid for it.

What we do not hold

• ISO 9001 — no certificate. We run an inspection process, not a certified quality management system.
• CE marking — no. CE is a declaration made by the party placing the product on the EU market, which is the importer, not the factory.
• FDA registration — no. Nail clippers and grooming tools are not FDA-regulated medical devices, and a factory cannot register on your behalf.
• BSCI audit — no. No audit grade, no rating, nothing to show.
• SGS / BV factory audit — no standing audit report.

We are a family-run factory of 100+ people in Yangjiang. Plenty of factories our size hold none of these either; most of them just do not say so on their website.

What we supply instead

Compliance paperwork is one thing. Whether the goods that arrive match the sample is another, and that part is entirely on the factory. This is what we control:

• Six inspection checkpoints — incoming material, heat treatment, grinding, assembly, final random inspection, pre-shipment audit. Each stage has written pass criteria and a sign-off.
• AQL 2.5 sampling at final inspection, on every order, not on request.
• Material traceability — mill certificates on blade steel, batch records traceable back to raw material and production date.
• Pre-shipment reports — inspection report and photos before the container leaves. You see the goods before they sail.
• Third-party inspection welcome — appoint SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, TUV or QIMA at any stage. We book it for you at cost, or you appoint your own agency.
• 0.05 mm machining tolerance on CNC blade profiling and dimensional checks.

Market compliance: whose job it is

CE, FDA, REACH, RoHS, CPSIA and Prop 65 sit with the importer, because the importer is the party placing the product on that market. This is not us dodging — it is how the regulations are written.

What we supply for your certification or lab testing:

• Technical drawings and product specifications
• Material declarations — steel grade, handle polymer, coating composition
• Mill certificates for blade steel
• Production samples for destructive testing
• Supplier declarations for REACH / RoHS substance screening
• Full cooperation with any lab or notified body you appoint, including on-site access

If you want third-party test reports and do not have a lab relationship yet, we can arrange testing with SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas. Cost and turnaround are quoted separately, because they depend on the test standard and the number of SKUs.

How to verify us without taking our word

• Patents: search the three numbers above on CNIPA or any patent database.
• Company: our business licence can be checked against China’s National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System.
• The floor: live video walkthrough within 24–48 hours — production lines, QC stations, warehouse, no editing.
• The goods: order samples before committing. You will see the finish, the pivot action and the edge in your own hands.
• Third-party audit: send an auditor. Full factory access, worker records and QC documentation, with five business days’ notice.

What we can send you

• Patent grant certificates (all three)
• Business licence copy
• Material declarations and mill certificates for a specific SKU
• Sample inspection report from a recent production run
• Third-party test reports, where a buyer has already commissioned them and agreed to share
